Wow! What an amazing year for Hail Mary softball. In both the summer and fall season, your Hail Mary softball players were regular season champions, and progressed to the end-of-year tournaments with top-seeding. In both tournaments, our team played successfully, and walked away with respectable second-place finishes! What an accomplishment!
Following the season, our crew gathered for a party at Brian’s house to celebrate the conclusion of our 2023 campaigns. In proper “competitive” fashion, the gathering also hosted the First Annual Hail Mary chili cook off! (Anita took home the grand prize — which was actual money!)
Many thanks to everyone who made this year such a success, including our sponsors at Nations Capital Energy Solutions and the 804 Softball league.
Hail Mary will next take to the softball fields in 2024, likely with “practices” starting in late-February or early March (depending on weather) and with actual games starting in late-March or early-April. (Bear in mind that, for us, “practice” is just an excuse to get together, toss some softballs around socialize! Its not a serious thing at all!)
