On August 24 saw Hail Mary playing games at the Hunton Community Center & Park field of Henrico County (near Richmond, Virginia) for the first time since the fall softball season began. Against opponents Blue Crabs, Hail Mary played two incredible games, winning both with scores of 14-8 and 15-10.
For the season, Hail Mary’s record currently stands at 5 and 1.
Highlights of the game included incredible hits by both teams, but in particular from Adam (3B) of Hail Mary who smashed an in-the-park home run in the first game, followed by a triple from 2B Shaleeta. Hail Mary pitching was also on the money for both games with Brent (P) picking up several clutch up Ks during each contest.
Astute observers of team apparel may notice that Hail Mary is sporting new jerseys this week. Many thanks for Brendon (SS) for coordinating that effort. They look great!
Next week, Hail Mary faces off against ONE Magenta Sox, who we also played during the summer season. First pitch is at 8:15p with games at the Hunton Community Center (Henrico County) complex once again.
